UCA’s day long Masterclasses are free to attend and give young people the opportunity to visit a campus for the day and take part in creative activities. Masterclasses are led by practicing artists and provide an opportunity to take part in creative workshops in a university setting, using specialist facilities. At the end of each Masterclass, young people will showcase their work in a collaborative exhibition. Attending a Masterclass will give young people the opportunity to achieve their Discover Arts Award Certficate, showing a commitment to the creative arts.

These Masterclasses provide a great opportunity for young people to explore a new creative discipline or build upon their portfolio of work. All artwork produced during the Masterclass can be taken away at the end of the session and is a great addition to a creative portfolio.

Masterclasses are available at our Canterbury and Rochester campuses and are free to attend with materials and lunch provided. Masterclasses are open to students in Years 9-13 living in Kent and Medway Collaborative Outreach Programme (KaMCOP) target wards.
