UCA’s free creative Holiday Clubs offer young people the chance to experience a range of creative disciplines and create their own portfolio of work.
These non-residential clubs are led by practicing artists and provide an opportunity to take part in creative workshops in a university setting, using specialist facilities. These clubs also include off-site trips to galleries, museums and arts events. At the end of each club, young people showcase their work in a collaborative exhibition.
These clubs are a great opportunity for young people to improve their confidence and create a portfolio of work which is theirs to keep. During the Holiday Club young people have the opportunity to achieve their Bronze Arts Award, a Level 1 qualification that’s perfect for progression into creative education and pathways.
Holiday Clubs are available at UCA’s Canterbury and Rochester campuses and are free to attend with materials, lunch and off-site trips included at no cost. Holiday Clubs are open to students in Years 9-13 living in Kent and Medway Collaborative Outreach Programme (KaMCOP) target wards.
