Broadstairs College’s ESOL students supported operations at FareShare’s food distribution centre in Ashford, supporting with unpacking deliveries from suppliers, allocating and picking deliveries for customers, as well as less glamorous duties, such as mopping! Two groups of ESOL students attended, and their help was greatly appreciated by staff.
Students gained an understanding of the processes behind the food deliveries made to colleges and other institutions.
